A Landmark Project
Old Smoke House
This charming old smoke house, once open-sided and open-plan, has been thoughtfully restored while preserving its historic character. The interior now features newly constructed walls, creating defined spaces for a kitchen and serving area. Externally, insulated walls clad in traditional featheredge boarding maintain the authentic look of a classic Suffolk barn. Handcrafted bespoke doors, made in our own workshops, have been added at each gable end, along with a new entrance door, allowing the building to open up during summer months as a BBQ kitchen and eatery. In keeping with the restoration, original clay tiles at the gable ends have been carefully re-laid and pointed.
